This Italian dinner will consist of 4 courses, your choice of red or white wine and few other surprises! Cost is $60 per person and reservations start at 5pm. Veritas Summer Dinner Series: 1.) Hemingway

As Hemingway once famously said ...  "I drink to make other people more interesting" in that spirit join us on June 4th for this event first of its kind at Veritas. We'll be transforming the environment in our  intimate tavern, creating a social gathering where guests can move around freely and mingle amongst themselves throughout the evening. Upon arrival guests should plan to spend the evening indulging, socializing and of course, imbibing. Lots of imbibing. In true Hemingway fashion the wine and cocktails will remain flowing throughout the gathering.

“Ernest Hemingway doesn’t need much of an introduction. He was the original Most Interesting Man in the world, and (in our humble opinion) one of the greatest writers in the world. . .” says bartender, Tristan Swan, when asked about the ideabehind the Hemingway theme. “. . .he also loved to eat and drink. And drink. And drink. To honor these noble pursuits, we’ve put together a collection of food, cocktails and wine we’ve gathered from some of his books like A Moveable Feast, The Sun Also Rises, Across the River and Into the Trees and others. Here’s to Papa. Enjoy.”

Ernest Hemingway was a man of simple taste, as well as an avid hunter and fisherman. He was well trained and developed a taste for food and spirits ranging from French to Spanish to, sometimes, the downright bizarre. This menu will explore his interests in a unique and tasteful way. It will take you back to a simpler time while letting you experience the modern twists you've come to know and love from Veritas.

New Year's Eve 2016

Join Veritas Tavern for a magical New Year’s Eve celebration featuring a unique and exciting tasting menu. It’s our fourth and final NYE in Delaware and we plan to make it the best yet!

There will be 3 seatings for the evening with staggered arrival times in the 5 o’clock, 7 o’clock and 9 o’clock hour. The first two seatings will have an hour and forty-five minute time limit. The third seating will ring in 2017 with a champagne toast at midnight! 

Your tickets will reserve your seats for the evening and cover all of your food. The menu for this event will be released the first week of December. Libations will be offered separately. We’ll have our full bar, cocktail, wine and beer list available. In addition, there will be a pairing option presented upon arrival. Tickets are non-refundable. Gratuity is not included. 

The cost is $110 person for the 5 o’clock and 7 o’clock seatings and $120 for the 9 o’clock seating. Tickets will be sold in groups of two or four. Because of the layout of our restaurant, two person reservations will be seated at the bar and four person reservations will be seated at one of the tables. In order to ensure your party is seated together tickets must be purchased as a group. If your party is larger than four or if you have any questions please email info@veritastavern.com for assistance in the purchasing process. If you have dietary restrictions please contact us prior to purchasing your tickets to ensure they can be accommodated.

Jackie O's + Seventh Son + Veritas Tavern

A Collaboration Dinner Benefiting the Mid-Ohio Food Bank’s BackPack Program

Jackie O’s and Veritas Tavern will be traveling to Seventh Son Brewery for an epic collaboration dinner on May 16, 2016.  This exciting dinner will feature five courses with beer pairings and a few other surprises. 

This event will be the perfect kick-off to Columbus Craft Beer Week and will feature one-of-a-kind beers from two of Ohio’s best breweries and some never-before-seen dishes from Columbus’ #1 restaurant

Jackie O’s, Seventh Son and Veritas Tavern will be donating all proceeds to Mid-Ohio Foodbank’s BackPack Program. This program provides income eligible youth with bags full of nutritious food for the weekend, when children don’t have access to the school’s free meals.

“It is only when we all collaborate to solve complex issues impacting our hungry neighbors that we are able to build healthier, thriving communities,” said Matt Habash, president and CEO of Mid-Ohio Foodbank, “Event partnerships like this that give us hope toward ending hunger, one nourishing meal at a time.”

Veritas Tavern will offer a Four Course Tasting Menu for $40/person with optional drink pairings for $20/person. The tasting menu will have three options for each course. The À la Carte menu will not be available. 

Reservations are required Thursday, February 12, Friday, February 13, and Saturday, February 14--we will not be accommodating walk-ins. Seatings will be staggered at 6:00/6:15, 7:45/8:00, and 9:30/9:45. Each seating will last 1 1/2 hours, guests will be asked to be timely and finish enjoying by the end of the allotted time slot.

New Year's Eve is one of the most celebrated days of the year, and we want our menu for the evening to reflect that significance. Chef Josh and his team started down the creative process of writing a menu for this special day and, as they always strive to do, they had the highest of standards set for themselves. After drafting and redrafting numerous menus, it still didn't feel quite right. So, they started over with a new idea . . . this time from a place of inspiration. In recognition of their favorite chefs, favorite restaurants and favorite dishes, they have decided to create a tribute menu. They have chosen their favorite dishes from chefs they highly respect. The dishes they have chosen are some of the most intricate and difficult to prepare but Chef Josh and his team are excited for the challenge. Veritas Tavern invites you to bring in the New Year with them by experiencing this tribute to the chefs and restaurants that help fuel their creativity and drive who they aspire to be.
